That white tufted headboard against the soft gray wall and those pops of color = gorgeous! And even better? She MADE the headboard and offers a tutorial on her blog!

She made great use of items passed down in her family and added a lot of special DIY touches as well.
Look at that reading nook! She slipcovered the chair herself, made the pillow and sock monkey, AND she made those great book ledges. WOW.
