Craigslist Dresser Redo!

After the last dresser transformation, we're a little addicted to the whole giving-new-life-to-old-things... um, thing.  Mr. home.made. found a beauty of a dresser on Craigslist, and together, we turned it into this:

He took care of the priming, painting, and artwork... and I distressed, glazed, and waxed.

I love all of the special things this piece has: the ornate wood details, the curved body, the scalloped feet...

Equally as special is the inspiration behind the words gracing the drawer fronts:

Now may the God of hope make you full of joy and peace through faith, so that all hope may be yours in the power of the Holy Spirit. ~ Romans 15:13

Wanna know what else is neat?

Mr. home.made and I have decided to venture out with a little furniture restoration business!  This dresser is our first piece to restore together *weep*... and hopefully we'll have much more to show you along the journey!  I'll be posting details on this piece soon - or if you're interested and you're in the Austin/San Antonio area, email me for more info!
